Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Follow Forward, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Follow Forward is a personal accountability and planning application that helps you:

• Create and track goals and sub-goals
• Organize tasks by category and deadline, and plan with a calendar
• Keep a journal, notes, and a vision board
• Optionally use AI features (on the Pro plan) for suggestions and reflections

Follow Forward offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan (see Section 3). We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Plans

The free plan includes the core planning features. Follow Forward Pro unlocks the AI features and unlimited vision-board photos, offered as a monthly or annual subscription at the prices shown on our pricing page.

Payment & Renewal

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until you cancel.
• Prices are shown before you subscribe and may exclude applicable taxes.

Cancellation & Refunds

• You can cancel anytime from your account settings (via the Stripe billing portal). Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again.
• Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we'll work with you in good faith.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. If we do, we'll give you advance notice, and changes apply to the next billing period after the notice.

4. AI Features

The Pro plan includes optional AI features that generate suggestions, reflections, and nudges based on the content you create. By using them, you understand that:

• Relevant content you submit is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response — see the Privacy Policy.
• AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your situation. Use your own judgment.
• AI output is not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise) and should not be relied on as such.
• You may not use the AI features in an abusive or automated way (e.g., scripted bulk requests) designed to overload or run up costs on the service.

5. Account Registration

Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Follow Forward
• You must provide accurate information and a valid email address (which you may need to verify)
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

Account Security

• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Abuse, harass, or harm others through the service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) or excessive automated requests to access or overload the service, including its AI features
• Circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access restrictions
• Impersonate another person or entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Your Content

Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create in Follow Forward (goals, sub-goals, journal entries, notes, calendar events, photos). We do not claim ownership of your content.

License to Us

By using the service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and display your content to you
• Process your content to provide the service (including sending it to our AI provider when you use an AI feature)
• Create backups for data protection

This license exists only to operate the service. We will not use your content for any other purpose, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for the content you create. Do not store content that:

• Violates any laws
• Infringes on others' intellectual property
• Contains sensitive information you wouldn't want stored online (e.g., passwords, financial account numbers)

8. Intellectual Property

Our Property

Follow Forward, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.

Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without obligation to you.

9. Service Availability

No Guarantee of Uptime

We strive to keep Follow Forward available, but we do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to the service
• That the service will be error-free
• That data will never be lost

Maintenance

We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or improvements. We will try to provide advance notice when possible.

12. Account Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. This will permanently delete all your data and cancel any active subscription.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in abusive or harmful behavior
• Use the service in a way that could harm us or other users

We will try to provide notice before termination, except in cases requiring immediate action.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email for material changes

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
