This information is collected and managed through our authentication provider, Stack Auth.

When you use Follow Forward, we store:

• Goals - Titles, categories, deadlines, completion status
• Sub-goals - Tasks you create under each goal
• Timestamps - When items are created, updated, or completed

Automatically Collected Information

• Analytics data - We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the app is used (page views, general usage patterns). This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
• Server logs - Standard web server logs for security and debugging purposes

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Follow Forward service
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Display your goals, sub-goals, and progress
• Improve the app based on usage patterns
• Send important account-related communications (e.g., security alerts)

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and security practices. We select providers with strong security and privacy standards.

We implement security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• Database connections are encrypted
• Authentication handled by Stack Auth with industry-standard security
• Server-side validation to prevent unauthorized access
• Each user can only access their own data

• Active accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active
• Deleted accounts: When you delete your account, all your data (goals, sub-goals, user record) is permanently deleted from our database
• Backups: Database backups may retain data for up to 30 days after deletion

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data - View all your goals and account information within the app
• Correct your data - Edit your goals, sub-goals, and profile information
• Delete your data - Delete your account at any time from your account settings
• Export your data - Download a copy of your data (coming soon)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR, including:

• Right to data portability
• Right to restrict processing
• Right to object to processing
• Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Follow Forward uses minimal cookies:

• Authentication cookies - Required to keep you logged in

Follow Forward is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
